Registered Nurse in MAUI - IV Infusion, P/T
Job Description
Duties Required:
Coordinates nursing services relative to delivery of IV, Enteral and injectable therapies to patients at the AIS. This includes initial assessments and reassessments. Supervises teaching and evaluation of patients prior to discharge and/or at home. In-services licensed personnel who perform services relative to therapies at home and nursing agencies. Coordinates follow-up visits and calls to patients for inventory, progress, status changes, etc. to assist in coordinating the delivery of supplies and obtain nursing information. Processes medical information for individual patients. Provides information on patients to the billing and claims departments as needed. Responds to On-call needs of patients, customers, and other Pharmacare employees. This position may require varying on-call obligations depending on emergency or staffing requirements. Assist with delivery of drugs, supplies and equipment to meet patient requirements, as needed. Communicates timely with discharge planner/social worker to coordinate needed Home Care services on patients referred to Pharmacare.Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii. Need to have peripheral IV experience. Need to have experience with the management of vascular access devices. MUST be able to pass a background check and drug screen.Preferred Qualifications:
Must be an RN with at least two years experience (within the last three years) that includes administration of IV therapies on a frequent basis. Experience with skilled nursing in the home setting is preferred. Evidence of teaching skills and experience in teaching manual tasks. Evidence of good communication skills, leadership ability, integrity, initiative, and creativity. Experience with pediatric through geriatric patients. Must have reliable transportation.Pay:
