Substitute Nurse TeachIowa Eldridge, IA Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications RN License Nursing Full Job Description Serving as a substitute nurse requires a current Iowa nursing license with a minimum of an RN. Daily on-call and sub as your schedule allows. As a substitute nurse, you will act as a liaison between parents, school personnel, physicians and agencies in school medical matters. You will also assume responsibility for the immediate care to students or staff members who have suffered injury or emergency illness and administer first aid in accordance with established procedures when necessary: including awareness and implementation of district and/or building disaster plans as necessary. Training is provided as well as guidance from the absent nurse and support staff is given.
