Hospice RN (Registered Nurse) - PRN Nights | Barrington, IL JourneyCare Hospice is hiring an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN night shift role in Barrington, IL. This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive hourly pay, and the opportunity to provide meaningful end-of-life care in a supportive team environment.

Schedule:
Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Minimum requirement: 2 shifts per month (additional shifts available and preferred)
Pay:
Up to $46.63/hour - offer based on experience Shift differentials: +$2.50/hour (weeknights), +$5.00/hour (weekend nights)

Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled hospice nursing care, including patient assessment, admissions, and care planning Manage a hospice caseload and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team Assess physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients and families Communicate with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity of care Perform nursing interventions and follow physician-directed treatment plans Conduct follow-up visits and update patient care plans as needed Provide end-of-life care, including clinical pronouncement and family support Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Required Qualifications:
Hospice experience required (applicants without hospice experience will not be considered) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current CPR certification Valid driver's license and auto insurance Strong communication and interpersonal skills
