Category Nursing - RN-CVICU Job Type Contract Deliver critical care and make a meaningful impact by providing specialized nursing support to cardiovascular intensive care unit patients in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled registered nurses with expertise in CVICU settings who are committed to exceptional patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients with cardiac and vascular conditions in the intensive care unit. Monitor and assess hemodynamic status, administer medications, and manage advanced life-support equipment. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to ensure targeted and effective patient care plans. Respond promptly to emergencies or sudden changes in patient condition, implementing protocols for rapid intervention. Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of patient progress, treatments, and medication administration. Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery goals, and ongoing health management. Uphold rigorous infection control and patient safety standards at all times.
Qualifications:
Valid, active RN license. Minimum one year of recent CVICU nursing experience. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to fast-paced, high-acuity situations. Familiarity with electronic medical records and CVICU-specific monitoring equipment.
