Key Qualifications & Experience:

Active RN license with a Bachelors degree and current medical certification. Legal Nurse Consultant experience is beneficial. Prior experience working in schools or with students requiring IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and 504 Plans is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to confidently deliver routine and specialized health services to children and adolescents. Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. Comfort in managing a caseload averaging 35 students, including students who receive distance learning services with IEPs or 504s.

Position Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to students with a range of medical needs, including diabetes management, asthma care, and general first aid. Administer medications, manage health crises, and respond to routine student health issues as they arise. Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare updates, collaborating with teachers, parents, and support professionals. Maintain accurate health records and document all services provided per regulatory and district requirements. Ensure effective delivery of all required IEP and 504 minutes, and participate in meetings as needed to coordinate student care plans. Foster a safe and supportive environment for every child.
