Key Qualifications:

Active RN licensure in Illinois (no School PEL required) Experience working as a school nurse or with pediatric/young adult populations strongly preferred Skilled in tracheostomy and G-tube care; comfortable with wheelchair transfers and mobility Strong communication abilities to collaborate with educational and transportation staff Commitment to maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for students with medical needs

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide continuous 1:1 nursing care to a transition student with a trach and G-tube, using your clinical expertise throughout the school day Attend to the student during bus rides between home and school, ensuring safety and readiness for the class day Monitor health status, administer treatments, and address any emergencies with confidence and skill Support mobility, transfers, and daily activities as required to promote student comfort and dignity Maintain all necessary documentation and communication with school staff and healthcare providers This full-time, 35-hour per week contract offers the chance to work onsite in a supportive, collaborative environmentwithout the need for a School PEL.
