Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive pediatric care, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care for children across various settings. Your expertise will help ensure our young patients receive the highest quality of care in a supportive and collaborative environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families while working alongside a team of healthcare professionals committed to excellence. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of pediatric patients, including infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. Prescribe medications, administer injections, and perform procedures such as suturing, and catheterizations following HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols. Manage acute and chronic conditions such as infectious diseases, gastrointestinal issues, behavioral health concerns, and developmental disabilities. Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, nutrition, medication management, and developmental milestones. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including specialists in gastroenterology, cardiology, neurology, and emergency medicine to coordinate comprehensive care. Experience Proven experience working with children in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, or outpatient facilities. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner or Athenahealth for medical documentation and patient management. Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding standards for accurate billing and documentation. Familiarity with telehealth platforms to provide remote consultations effectively.
