Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our primary care team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients, supporting their health and well-being through direct patient interactions and collaboration with healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have pediatric primary care experience, including phone triage, vaccine administration, and lab draws. Familiarity with the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program is a plus. You will utilize EMR/EHR systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently, ensuring seamless communication within the healthcare team. Duties Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a primary care setting, including assessment, education, and support. Perform phone triage to assess patient needs, provide guidance, and determine appropriate follow-up actions. Administer vaccines according to established protocols, including those under the VFC program when applicable. Conduct lab draws safely and efficiently, ensuring proper specimen handling and documentation. Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatments, and follow-up plans. Educate families on health maintenance, vaccination schedules, and preventive care strategies. Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and healthcare regulations related to pediatric nursing. Qualifications Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state or region. Prior experience in pediatric primary care settings is required. Experience with phone triage is highly preferred. Proficiency in vaccine administration and lab draws is essential. Familiarity with the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program is a plus. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and communication. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children and their families. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
