A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Schedule/Hours:
Full-time shifts; flexible options may be available, including days or nights Weekend and holiday rotations may be requiredQualifications & Desired Experience:
Active and unencumbered RN license, valid for the state of practice with no restrictions At least one year of recent Med Surg RN experience in an acute care or hospital setting Current BLS certification, with ACLS preferred Strong assessment, critical thinking, and time management skills Adept at collaborating within interdisciplinary teams and communicating effectively with patients and families Familiarity with EMR systems and comprehensive documentation standardsMain Responsibilities:
Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to adult patients across diverse medical-surgical diagnoses Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress, customizing care plans as needed Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care Support physicians during rounds, procedures, and emergencies, ensuring timely interventions Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocolsBenefits & Perks:
