This role begins as soon as possible and extends through May 28, 2027, offering daytime weekday hours from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM—perfect for those who value work-life balance. Qualifications:
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required Prior, verifiable experience specifically as a school nurse is a must Confidence managing care for elementary school-aged children Clinical experience with diabetic care, g-tubes, and seizure management Strong documentation, communication, and organizational abilities No LPNs will be considered Please ensure to include your active license/certification and an up-to-date resume with your application
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee daily health needs of elementary students and support school staff as needed Administer medication, manage chronic health conditions (including diabetes and seizure disorders), and attend to minor injuries or illnesses that arise during school hours Develop and implement care plans for students with specialized medical needs Serve as a resource to staff for all healthcare related matters Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members
