A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
Qualifications:
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required Prior, verifiable experience specifically as a school nurse is a must Confidence managing care for elementary school-aged children Clinical experience with diabetic care, g-tubes, and seizure management Strong documentation, communication, and organizational abilities No LPNs will be considered Please ensure to include your active license/certification and an up-to-date resume with your applicationPrimary Responsibilities:
Oversee daily health needs of elementary students and support school staff as needed Administer medication, manage chronic health conditions (including diabetes and seizure disorders), and attend to minor injuries or illnesses that arise during school hours Develop and implement care plans for students with specialized medical needs Serve as a resource to staff for all healthcare related matters Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff membersExceptional Benefits:
