Job Description
Qualifications:
Current and unrestricted RN license. Demonstrated experience in medical-surgical (Med Surg) nursing. Proficient clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities. Strong collaboration and communication skills with interdisciplinary teams. BLS certification (required); additional certifications such as ACLS are a plus. Efficient documentation and familiarity with electronic health records. Adaptable to fast-paced hospital environments.Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse adult patient panel on a Med Surg unit. Conduct assessments, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and interpret clinical data to inform care plans. Coordinate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other nurses to support patient recovery. Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and discharge planning. Uphold infection control protocols and hospital safety standards. Accurately document interventions, updates, and patient status in electronic records. Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in rapid response as needed. Support and mentor nursing colleagues and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.Benefits:
