This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide exceptional care to patients who require monitoring and specialized attention following critical illness or surgery.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current and active RN license Previous experience in a Stepdown/Progressive Care or Stepdown Telemetry setting is strongly preferred Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills BLS and ACLS certifications (must be up-to-date) Familiarity with electronic medical record systems Ability to collaborate efficiently with multi-disciplinary teams Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Schedule:
Full-time contract assignment Shifts and specific hours to be discussed during the interview process
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care to Stepdown patients, including assessment, implementation of plans of care, and evaluation of patient outcomes Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions, alerting physicians and escalating care when necessary Administer medications, therapies, and treatments accurately and safely Monitor and document vital signs and diagnostic results according to facility protocols Educate patients and families regarding recovery processes, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs Maintain continuity of patient care through effective hand-off communications and documentation
