1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring active IL RN license and telemetry stepdown experience. Details 24-bed Progressive Care stepdown unit in an acute care hospital setting Level 2 trauma center Patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 depending on acuity Patient population includes dysrhythmias, cardiopulmonary conditions, sepsis, high flow O2 needs, and behavioral patients requiring IV drip medications Administers medication drips including dopamine, levophed, cardizem, heparin, precedex, nitro, amio, dobutamine, and nicardipine 12-hour night shifts May be required to work up to every other weekend Uses

EPIC EMR

system High patient throughput typical of stepdown units Requirements Active IL RN license required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of experience required BSN not required Additional Information Unit educator works closely with staff to provide support Provide telemetry and stepdown nursing care to a medically complex patient population
