Qualifications and Experience:
Current, unencumbered RN license Minimum of 1 year recent CVICU experience Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and care of post-cardiac surgery patients Demonstrated ability to respond calmly under pressure and prioritize urgent needs Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute cardiac and vascular conditions Monitor, assess, and document patient status accurately, intervening swiftly and appropriately as conditions evolve Administer medications, manage IV drips, and operate advanced cardiac equipment in accordance with established protocols Support postoperative recovery, perform frequent assessments, and alert physicians to changes in patient condition Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to coordinate care plans Educate patients and families about treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care requirements
