Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities within established standards.
Responsibilities:
Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use. Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Create, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors. Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate patient conditions and provide holistic care.
Qualifications & Skills:
RN license required; Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree as minimum education.
Preferred:
BSN degree and 2+ years of Med Surg and/or Telemetry experience. Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and safety awareness essential.
