Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and behavioral observations to inform individualized treatment plans Administer medications safely and accurately, following all protocols related to addiction treatment and medication management Monitor patients for adverse reactions or withdrawal symptoms, providing prompt interventions as needed Assist with developing and implementing therapeutic activities that promote recovery and well-being Maintain detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, therapists, and case managers—to coordinate care and discharge planning Educate patients on medication usage, relapse prevention strategies, and health coaching to support long-term recovery efforts Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia care, or memory care is highly valued Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Azzly for accurate documentation Experience in addiction medicine including acute pain management, and substance withdrawal protocols Skilled in patient assessment techniques such as vital signs measurement, intake procedures, and specimen collection/processing Ability to perform physical examinations Excellent communication skills for triage situations and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), HIPAA compliance training, and relevant nursing licensure Knowledge of MAT medications, preferred This role is ideal for energetic healthcare professionals eager to leverage their critical care experience—including hospital ICU or emergency room backgrounds—in a setting dedicated to addiction recovery.
