This specific position provides a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work one on one with a adult member of our community that has skilled nursing needs. Our patients are typically have care needs such as: a G-tube, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and occasionally a Trach and Vent. Shifts are extended hours (4-12 hours with the one patient) for a full-time or part-time schedule. Because we have the privilege to lend a helping hand to an adult clients, our skilled nursing team can work in a client's home and/or in school/classroom settings. Prior to working with a client, we will provide you the opportunity to have a meet and greet with the patient and their family. This serves as a good opportunity to see the environment where you'd be working and ask questions in regard to the daily routine of the patient. We will work to find a schedule that works for YOU and YOUR availability . Field nurses will work closely with the agency, family, and other service providers to ensure the best comprehensive care for the client. TS2VAL Responsibilities Monitor client's condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and education. Observe and interpret client's symptoms and communicate to the case management nurse. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care Plans of Care for their client. Adjust and administer client's medication and provide treatments according to physician's orders. Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.). Provide instant medical care in emergency situations. Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for clients and their families.
