Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-MS Job Type Contract Step into an exciting nursing opportunity on a brand new, state-of-the-art Med Surg Ortho Spine unit boasting 34 beds and the latest in patient care technology. The team delivers comprehensive care to patients requiring orthopedic, spine, and total joint procedures. As a valued RN, you'll collaborate with a dedicated group of healthcare professionals focused on delivering outstanding outcomes in a supportive and compassionate environment.
Schedule/Hours:
Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00
AM Desired Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Recent experience in Med Surg or Ortho/Spine units Proficient with spine, hip, and joint precautions Familiarity with traction equipment Experience using Meditech EMR is a strong plus Proven ability to manage up to a 6:1 patient ratio Adaptability to work in a newly established unit with evolving workflows

Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, effective nursing care to post-operative orthopedic and spine patients Monitor and assess patients, administer medications, and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery processes Ensure adherence to evidence-based protocols and safety initiatives in line with the unit's high standards
