Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-MS Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic Intermediate Care/Telemetry setting that values nursing expertise and teamwork. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding environment on a 37-bed unit equipped with modern technology, including Meditech EMR, PCA and IV pumps, and specialized cardiac equipment such as chest tubes. Supported by an experienced staff across day and night shifts, you'll be recognized for your clinical skills and positive approach to patient care.
Schedule:
7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Consistent 12-hour shifts
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license with Med-Surg and telemetry experience
Required:
BLS and ACLS certifications Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making abilities Engaged, positive attitude, and effective team collaborator
Preferred Experience:
Skilled in central line management, medication drips, cardiac cath recovery, and bubble studies
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care and monitoring to patients in a fast-paced telemetry setting Closely manage patient ratios of 1:6 (general) and 1:4 (Heart Cath recovery) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including patient care techs and unit clerks Respond rapidly to changes in patient status utilizing advanced clinical tools and protocols Maintain accurate documentation within the Meditech EMR system Uphold unit policies and guidelines, ensuring the highest standard of patient safety and satisfaction Why you'll love this role: Exposure to advanced cardiac interventions and new equipment Support from a seasoned and welcoming staff Opportunities for professional growth and skill advancement in a reputable healthcare facility Bring your expertise and passion for patient care to a unit where your skills are valued.
