Job Title:
Pharmacy Registered Nurse Job Description Join a collaborative, physician‑led environment where your nursing expertise and pharmacy knowledge directly support safe surgical care. We're seeking a Pharmacy Registered Nurse who enjoys attention to detail, interdisciplinary teamwork, and a balanced weekday schedule—without sacrificing professional challenge or growth. In this role, you'll partner closely with pharmacists, physicians, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff to ensure medications are managed accurately, safely, and efficiently across surgical and hospital settings. Responsibilities Collaborating with the Pharmacist to support medication therapy and daily pharmacy operations Ensuring medication safety through inventory control, outdate tracking, and crash cart management Supporting surgical and clinical teams by answering medication‑related questions and assisting with order input Training nurses and RNs on EHR and Pyxis systems Reviewing and discussing discharge medications with patients when needed Managing formulary data, medication pricing, J‑codes, and revenue codes Preparing, packaging, and labeling medications for pharmacist review Ordering and distributing supplies to hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, and Pyxis machines Maintaining accurate inventory levels and completing annual inventory Participating in department meetings, on‑call rotation, and continuous professional education Essential Skills Active Kansas RN license Strong pharmaceutical knowledge with prior pharmacy experience BLS certification Experience or comfort working in pharmacy or surgical environments Excellent attention to detail and critical‑thinking skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in ICU or surgery centers is highly beneficial. Excellent customer service and consulting skills. Proficiency in order entry, stocking, and inventory management. Ability to work flexibly and show up on time. Work Environment Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Supportive, tight‑knit clinical team with physicians and anesthesiologists Relaxed, professional atmosphere with occasional team meals and food brought in Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Leawood, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
