1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a 28-bed stroke/telemetry step-down unit requiring KY or compact RN licensure and night shift availability. Details 28-bed ICU step-down unit specializing in stroke and telemetry-monitored patients RN to patient ratio of 5:1 Performs bedside procedures including cardioversions, sheath pulls, post-pacemaker care, and AIRVO use Night shift schedule: 7p-7a, 3x12, 36 hours per week Weekend and holiday rotation required Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required BLS certification required ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures Additional Information Provides comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, and treatment implementation for stroke and telemetry step-down patients Coordinates admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and case management coordination Delegates and oversees care activities performed by other team members Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits Collaborates closely with inter-professional care teams to design individualized treatment plans
