Key Qualifications:
Current and active RN license Previous experience in a Cath Lab highly preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities Effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Proficiency in monitoring patients during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures Commitment to upholding professional and ethical standards in all interactions
Responsibilities:
Administer and monitor conscious sedation and medications during cardiac catheterizations Assist physicians by preparing and managing equipment and documenting procedures Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, recognizing signs of complications promptly Provide patient and family education before and after procedures Maintain a sterile field, follow infection control protocols, and ensure compliance with safety standards Participate in emergency response situations as needed within the Cath Lab Contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts within the department
