Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Acute Care RN experience (First-time travelers must meet this criterion) Pay & Benefits Competitive pay package (discussed upon application) Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You'll Do Provide high-quality nursing care in a dedicated PCU setting managing patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, post-heart cath, and post-arteriogram Manage patient assignments with a 1:3 RN-to-patient ratio Perform and interpret EKGs to pass competency requirements Administer medications including drip titrations like Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin Managing IVs, CVL management, Foley catheters, NG/PEG feedings, arterial lines, and diabetes care Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, RTs, PTs, OTs, and STs Document care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR Float between stroke and med-surg units as needed Follow hospital and safety protocols related to professionalism, patient safety, and equipment usage What You Need Valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience, preferably in med-surg or stroke units Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Ability to pass EKG competency exam Strong clinical skills in IV management, arrhythmia interpretation, and medication administration Ability to work independently, adapt to unit needs, and carry out patient care with professionalism Required; Preferred experience includes CVL management and advanced cardiac care skills.
