About Us:
Kennedy Facial Plastic Surgery, led by Paige Kennedy, M.D., provides facial plastic surgery and aesthetic services in a patient-focused, detail-oriented practice. We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Surgical RN to help us deliver an exceptional, safe surgical experience for our patients from day one.
Responsibilities:
Assist Dr. Kennedy with in-office surgical and aesthetic procedures, maintaining sterile technique and OR readiness Room patients — bring patients back to the exam room, take and document vitals/history, and prepare the room for consultations and treatments Assist Dr. Kennedy during patient consultations, including documentation and patient education on treatment options Monitor patients during non-surgical procedures such as injectables (Botox, filler) and other in-office aesthetic treatments Prepare patients for procedures, including pre-operative assessment, patient education, and consent verification Administer medications and monitor patients per physician orders and within your Louisiana RN scope of practice Provide post-operative care, wound care guidance, and patient follow-up instructions Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the practice's EHR Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of medications, including any controlled substances Maintain compliance with OSHA, infection-control, and sterile-processing standards Ordering of necessary clinical and operating room supplies Coordinate with front-office staff on scheduling and patient flow for surgical and aesthetic visits Uphold patient safety and quality standards throughout the surgical experience
What We're Looking For:
Active, unencumbered Louisiana RN license (or a multistate license valid in Louisiana under the Nurse Licensure Compact) Current BLS and ACLS certification required; OR/surgical experience required Prior experience in a surgical, OR, or aesthetic/plastic surgery setting preferred Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and sterile technique Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information Comfortable with EHR/practice management software Nextech experience preferred
