Experienced CVICU Registered Nurses (RN) are sought for a contract opportunity where your advanced clinical skills will be essential in supporting acutely ill cardiac and vascular patients. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, providing specialized care and responding to rapidly evolving patient needs in a dynamic unit.
Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license Demonstrated experience in a CVICU or a comparable critical care setting Advanced knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac medications, and post-operative cardiac patient management BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Monitor cardiac and vascular intensive care patients, recognizing and responding swiftly to changes in condition Administer continuous intravenous medications, titrate vasoactive drips, and interpret complex cardiac rhythms Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals on treatment plans and patient care strategies Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes precisely in the electronic medical record Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding cardiac care processes and recovery expectations Adhere to infection control and safety protocols throughout shift
