Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nursing Education Specialist to lead innovative nursing training programs that empower healthcare professionals and students alike. In this role, you will develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive educational curricula tailored to diverse learning needs within clinical and academic settings. Your expertise will foster excellence in nursing practice, promote ongoing professional development, and ensure compliance with educational standards. Duties Design, develop, and update nursing curricula utilizing best practices in curriculum development and adult education principles. Deliver engaging online instruction using learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or similar platforms, incorporating innovative learning technology and simulation methods. Provide clinical instruction across various healthcare settings including hospitals, teaching hospitals, ICU, pediatric units, and primary care environments. Supervise nursing students during clinical rotations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and educational objectives while fostering a supportive learning environment. Conduct research on healthcare education trends, integrating evidence-based practices into teaching modules to enhance learning outcomes. Review documentation such as care plans, patient records, and assessment reports to ensure educational compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with faculty members and healthcare teams to develop simulation-based training programs that improve critical care skills and patient safety. Qualifications Proven supervising experience in nursing education or clinical instruction within higher education or hospital settings. Strong familiarity with LMS platforms like Blackboard and other learning technology tools for online instruction. Experience working with post-secondary students in diverse cultural backgrounds within teaching hospitals or university environments. In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, educational compliance standards, and simulation methods. Background in nursing practice with specialties such as critical care, pediatrics, adult medicine, or senior care; acute care or ICU experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to design curriculum and develop instructional materials for adult learners in healthcare education settings. Excellent communication skills with experience working with students from varied backgrounds; ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
