A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.
MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. You'll work closely with participants, families, nurses, and other team members to support their health and well-being. What You'll Do Monitor participants' health and wellness. Complete health assessments. Give medications and treatments as ordered. Help create and follow individual care plans. Provide health education and wellness support. Communicate with nurses, doctors, families, and other care team members. Help maintain a safe and caring environment. What You Need Graduate of an accredited RN program. Current Massachusetts RN license. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work well with a team.
