Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into an essential role supporting student wellness in a high school health room setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for a skilled Registered Nurse seeking meaningful work during daytime hours. Located near Quincy, MA, you'll contribute to the daily health and safety of students and staff in a vibrant educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong assessment, triage, and first aid skills Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families CPR and basic life support certification
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee the high-school health room from 7:30am to 2:30pm on school days Provide first aid, minor illness/injury care, and manage medications Support students with chronic health conditions and develop care plans in collaboration with families and staff Maintain accurate records, follow up on referrals, and ensure timely communication with guardians Educate students and staff on basic health and safety practices Respond to health-related emergencies using best nursing practices
