Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)

• Endoscopy for a 13-week travel assignment at the Somerville Campus.

This is an outpatient endoscopy center focused on elective procedures. The RN will care for adult patients undergoing procedures such as colon cancer screenings and evaluation of rectal bleeding and other GI conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong endoscopy nursing experience, excellent patient-care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Unit Details:

4 procedure rooms 5 pre-op bays 5 PACU bays Patient population: Adults, approximately 18-95 years old Common diagnoses/procedures include colon cancer screenings, rectal bleeding, and other GI conditions

EMR:

Epic preferred Scrub color: Any color No block scheduling Floating may be required

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to patients throughout the endoscopy process, including pre-op, procedure, and recovery Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures Administer medications and treatments as ordered Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary care team Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection-control standards Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and discharge instructions Float to other areas as needed

Requirements:

Active Massachusetts RN license or current/conditional MA RN license AHA BLS required

AHA ACLS

required Minimum 2 years of experience in the applicable specialty Endoscopy nursing experience strongly preferred SGNA certification preferred Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered Strong communication and clinical skills Ability to work rotating shifts Must be willing to float as required Flu vaccination required during flu season
