Elementary School | 1:1 Student Support Job Overview BlueCloud Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, 1:1 school nursing opportunity in the Somerville, MA area for the current 2026-2027 school year. The RN will provide dedicated, individualized nursing care to an elementary school student throughout the school day, including riding the school bus with the student to and from school each day . This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys working with children and is looking for a consistent, school-based schedule with weekends, evenings, and school holidays off! Key Responsibilities Provide direct, 1:1 nursing care to an elementary school student throughout the school day. Accompany the student on the school bus during morning pickup and afternoon drop-off. Monitor the student's health, safety, and medical needs during transportation and school hours. Assist with feeding tube care and management as needed. Monitor for seizure activity and follow established seizure management and emergency response protocols. Administer medications and provide nursing interventions according to the student's individualized healthcare plan. Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate relevant health updates. Qualifications Active Massachusetts RN license required. Previous pediatric, school nursing, or 1:1 nursing experience preferred. Experience with feeding tubes (G-tube) and seizure disorders strongly preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
