• Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

• Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

As a Walk-In Care RN, you'll work alongside experienced providers and clinical staff to care for patients with a wide variety of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. From minor injuries and infections to seasonal illnesses and preventive care, you'll play an essential role in assessing patients, coordinating care, administering treatments, assisting with procedures, providing patient education, and ensuring every patient receives compassionate, efficient care. This role offers the opportunity to use your strong assessment skills and clinical judgment in a dynamic outpatient setting where no two days are the same. You'll collaborate closely with providers to prioritize patient needs, perform telephone triage, administer medications and immunizations, assist with diagnostic testing and procedures, and educate patients on treatment plans, follow-up care, and healthy lifestyle practices. The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

MH RN II

This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I - must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.

Experience:

One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available). The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package. The pay range for this position is $34.35 to $46.46 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
