Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, and other routes following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Monitor patients' conditions closely, utilizing telemetry and other diagnostic tools to detect changes requiring immediate intervention. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with best practices and patient needs. Assist with specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, wound care—including ostomy management—and ventilator support. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of patient information and accurate medical documentation. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication management, and health coaching. Manage emergency situations effectively by applying critical care procedures such as airway management, trauma response, neonatal resuscitation procedures, and acute pain management. Participate in discharge planning and case management activities to facilitate smooth transitions of care across settings. Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization techniques and adherence to CDC guidelines. Skills Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as ICU, emergency room, telemetry units, or surgical units. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Cerner, Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures. Skilled in performing physical examinations, specimen collection/processing (phlebotomy), laboratory experience, and diagnostic evaluation. Expertise in medication administration techniques including injections and IV insertion; familiar with aseptic techniques. Experience working with special populations such as pediatric patients (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory care & dementia), individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Ability to handle complex cases involving trauma medicine, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law as it pertains to occupational health cases. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to triage effectively in urgent care or emergency situations.
