Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Take the next step in your nursing career by delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced stepdown and progressive care unit environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for Registered Nurses with a strong clinical background in PCU or Stepdown who thrive on comprehensive patient care and team collaboration.
Schedule:
3x12 hour night shifts per week 13-week contract Overtime calculated after 48 hours worked Consecutive shifts are preferred although not guaranteed; block scheduling is not available
Qualifications:
Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry settings Experience administering medication drips ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills Ability to provide leadership in patient care delivery and delegate tasks appropriately
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) Delegate, supervise, and document care provided by the nursing team Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and interventions Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding pertinent patient or family information Identify variances from patient goals, participate in solution-finding, and ensure implementation of appropriate actions Uphold professional standards and ensure compliance with clinical and safety protocols This position offers a competitive pay rate and a supportive, team-oriented work culture committed to quality patient outcomes.
