2 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift acute care hospital position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active MI license. Details Med/Surg unit within a 404-bed acute care hospital offering cardiovascular, neuroscience, orthopedics, and oncology services 12-hour night shifts Required to work every other weekend No on-call requirements Required to float to other units within the float pool Uses Cerner EMR Requirements Active MI RN license required at time of consideration Compact license not accepted BLS certification (AHA) required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and Telemetry experience required Additional Information Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and monitor condition trends throughout hospital stay Prepare, administer, and chart medications including IVs, and manage wound care or specialized equipment Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans Educate patients and families on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and discharge instructions Recognize early signs of medical deterioration and respond quickly to stabilize patients Navy blue scrub dress code Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers and receive a reduced rate Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested
