24 hours per week. Start times vary from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Shifts are typically 8 hours, with nurses starting at 8:00 a.m. staying until the last patient leaves. Working in the Pre/Post Op area within the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Role Overview As an RN-Ambulatory, you'll play a vital role in leading the coordination and delivery of compassionate, quality patient care. You'll utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while also educating patients and their families. Your expertise will support the health care team and ensure clinical excellence in a dynamic ambulatory setting. What You Will Do Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate, quality patient care. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and education. Delegate, supervise, and document nursing care and teaching for patients and families. Effectively communicate with the health care team to ensure seamless patient care. Demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge in your area of specialty. What You Will Need Required Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Candidates with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) must be willing to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of start date. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS certification per Henry Ford Health policy. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Preferred experience in the specialty.
