2 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 3+ years of experience, prior travel assignment completion, and an active MI license. Details Work in the ICU of a 288-bed acute care hospital and Macomb County's first verified trauma center ICU patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity, with Step Down ratios of 1:3 Primarily ICU assignment with potential to float to CVICU Uses Cerner EMR Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM) with a 36-hour guarantee Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Requirements Active MI RN license required at time of submission Compact licenses not accepted Minimum 3 years of RN experience required Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required Current certifications required:BLS, ACLS
(AHA), and NIHSS Copy of ACLS certification required for consideration Skills checklist completed within the past year required for nursing specialties LARA and Nursys license verification required Additional Information Deliver quality nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with the healthcare team Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and plan care accordingly Implement and evaluate individualized nursing interventions based on patient response Navy blue scrub dress code required Facility enforces a strict 3-strike attendance policy for absences or tardiness over 20 minutes Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers with adjusted pay rate Former full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of separation Requests for more than 5 days of RTO are not acceptedBenefits
