Nursing The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound care treatment programs for residents within the skilled nursing facility. This role ensures compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations while promoting optimal skin health, healing, and prevention of pressure injuries and other wounds. The Wound Care Nurse serves as a clinical resource, educator, and advocate for residents, families, and staff regarding wound prevention and management. Supervises Treatment Nurse as per scope of practice Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed Transfers employees among units per staffing demands Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws Education and/or

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
