This contract position offers the rewarding opportunity to support childrens well-being either as the primary nurse in a dedicated elementary school health office or as a float nurse serving students across the campus community.

What you need to succeed:

Current RN or LPN license valid in Minnesota CPR/First Aid or BLS Certification Experience working in pediatric, school, or community health settings preferred Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies Strong organizational and communication skills Compassionate, proactive approach to care for students of diverse backgrounds and needs Key responsibilities: Deliver daily nursing care, first aid, and health assessments to elementary students Support students with chronic health conditions and medication administration Monitor for illness symptoms, document visits, and follow school and state protocols Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a healthy learning environment Provide health education to students as needed, fostering knowledge and wellness Stay current with best practices and maintain accurate student health records This role is perfect for professionals who value flexibility, meaningful connection with children, and the dynamic nature of school nursing.
