Responsibilities/Job Description:
Fairview is searching for a hardworking and dedicated RN who is looking for a career in our lively Neurosciences department at Fairview Southdale Hospital located in Edina, MN! The Neuroscience Intermediate Care (IMC) unit is a 29-bed inpatient unit specialized in caring for adult patients with complex neurological and/or neurosurgical conditions which require close observation with frequent monitoring, assessments, and interventions. The patient population includes but is not limited to stroke (ischemic or hemorrhagic), post-craniotomy or neurosurgical procedures, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury (TBI), complex spinal cord injuries, and neurodegenerative conditions requiring acute management. The unit is fast-paced and challenging with many valuable learning opportunities.
Schedule:
This position will be working .75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the night shift (7pm-7:30am) and will also work every third weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday). A Brief Overview The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. Responsibilities Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes. Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs. Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes. Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes. Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP) Required Qualifications MN Registered Nurse (RN) License Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Preferred Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Nursing 1 year experience

M Health Fairview Services is searching for a hardworking and dedicated RN who is looking for a career in our lively Neurosciences department at Fairview Southdale Hospital located in Edina, MN! Station 73 is a 29-bed inpatient unit caring for adult patients with complex medical conditions which require close observation, monitoring, and interventions, including but not limited to neurological, neurosurgical, and spine patients. In addition, they will care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit. They will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment. The unit is fast-paced and challenging with many valuable learning opportunities.
Schedule :
This position will be working XX FTE (XX hours every two weeks). The shift length will be XX hours on the (day, eves and nights) shift (Hours) and will also work every third weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday).
