Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated RN or LPN/LVN with school nursing experience to provide specialized 1:1 care for a student commuting from Buffalo, MN to Monticello Middle School. This role offers the chance to make a positive, daily impact and work closely with a single student throughout their school day and commute. Key Qualifications & Skills Active RN or LPN/LVN licensure in Minnesota required Previous experience in a school nursing or pediatric setting is valued Confident, safe proficiency in tube feeding Familiarity and skill in oxygen management, including monitoring $O_2$ saturations and administering oxygen when necessary Comfortable administering medications as prescribed Ability to safely use a Hoyer lift and stander; specific training on the student's equipment will be provided Homecare experience preferred, but not required Strong communication and documentation skills Main Responsibilities Accompany the student on the bus from home in Buffalo to Monticello Middle School and back, ensuring consistent care during transportation (commute approx. 20 minutes each way) Provide direct nursing care while at school (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM) Administer medications, manage medical devices, and assist with daily student needs Follow individualized care plans and respond effectively to any health or safety concerns Schedule Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, adhering to the Monticello District academic calendar Additional Opportunity Coverage is also needed for Mondays only to support a high school student in the area with similar 1:1 nursing needs.
