1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Oncology Infusion RN for an outpatient chemo infusion center requiring chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) and active MN RN licensure. Details Outpatient oncology/hematology infusion center providing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hydration, iron infusions, injections, supportive care, port access, central line management, and infusion reaction management Cares for adult oncology and hematology patients receiving outpatient infusion services, including solid tumor diagnoses and hematologic malignancies 1:5 patient ratio No blood product transfusions administered at this location Uses Epic/Beacon for oncology treatment plans, implanted port access equipment, central venous access devices, infusion pumps, CADD pumps, and Dynamap vital sign monitors Schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift, 5x8 hour shifts starting between 7:30-8:00am and ending 4:00-4:30pm No weekend requirements No on-call requirements Floating required within scope to meet facility needs Open to accommodating block scheduling Requirements Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted) BLS and Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) required OCN certification preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in oncology infusion specialty required; 2 years preferred Epic charting experience required Skills required include IV therapy/infusions, accessing and managing ports, central line care, chemotherapy administration (IV push, continuous infusion, oral), recognition and management of oncologic emergencies (anaphylaxis, extravasation, sepsis, ATLS, hemorrhage, spinal cord compression), and symptom management Experience with biotherapy and immunotherapy administration preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred 1 supervisor reference required for consideration Required documents include date of birth, SSN, and copies of certifications Additional Information Provide oncology-specific patient education and symptom management to infusion patients Navy blue scrub color required Charting performed in Epic (Excellian) Free parking available in unrestricted spaces Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered, with no local candidate exceptions for this position First-time travelers are accepted RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked in a perm staff or per diem role Minnesota state fingerprinting requirement applies; candidates must complete LiveScan fingerprinting, which may require travel if not near a certified location Pre-start modules required, averaging 8 hours to complete
