Job Description

Mercy is seeking a dedicated RN for our Oncology/Hematology Specialty Clinic. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology and hematology patients, including assessments, care planning, chemotherapy and infusion administration, and ongoing symptom management. You will educate patients and families, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure adherence to safety and clinical protocols. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive oncology and hematology nursing care to clinic patients. Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and infusion treatments safely and accurately. Perform detailed patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and symptom management. Monitor and manage treatment side effects and escalate concerns appropriately. Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and other team members. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR and follow all safety protocols. Manage IV access, central lines, and infusion equipment per policy. Support quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives in the clinic. Participate in ongoing professional development and oncology-specific training.
