Our staff are always willing to assist each other and ensure everyone feels the support they need to care for our patients through any situation. $1.00 Certification pay $1.00 BSN pay Career Ladder Bonus eligible up to $5,000 The Labor and Delivery/Women and Newborn nurse cares for women and neonates during labor, childbirth, and postpartum care through discharge. They are responsible for assisting, supporting, and educating families throughout the birth process and postpartum period. They provide comprehensive, family centered nursing care to mothers and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages. They educate and assist the new mother with her physical and emotional needs. They perform the dual role of caring for the infants and educating mothers about their care. The Labor and Delivery/Women and Newborn nurse must be able to recognize complications and act quickly to stabilize the situation and communicate with the patient, family, and appropriate physicians and specialists.
