A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting.     • + Provides direct patient care in the maternity and newborn care setting.
    Communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including fetal monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, can perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities. Qualifications Current state Registered Nurse Licensure One or more years of recent Labor and Delivery/Newborn Nursery experience. Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification. BCLS and fetal monitoring certification.
