Job Description

This position is working from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Mondays and Tuesdays, and prn to cover other clinic nurses as needed.
A. DEFINITION
The part-time Clinic Nurse Float provides assistance to the Prescriber and serves as the primary Float for clinic nurses.
B. DUTIES 1.
Provide minor medical update for prescriber (i.e., blood pressure, height, weight, etc.) when requested. 2. Serve as the primary Float to fill in for other clinic nurses as needed. 3. Be cross-trained and able to fill in for telepsychiatry staff as requested. 4. Complete and sign documentation or related paperwork contemporaneously with service provision (within three (3) business days) and in accordance with agency and certification standards. 5. Educate clients about medications and side-effects. 6. Assist clients in obtaining medication. 7. Participate in the staffing process, and treatment planning as applicable. 8. Maintain First Aid Log for case managers and other required clinicians, provide first aid kits, and supply refill supplies as needed. 9. Participate in inservice training as requested. 10. Maintain current CPR certification. 11. Maintain client confidentiality. 12. Perform related work as requested to carry out the purposes, goals and objectives of the agency.
C. QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed in the State of Missouri as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with at least two (2) years qualifying experience in psychiatric, substance use treatment, or developmental disabilities. Must have a valid driver's license, automobile and required liability insurance.

Directly responsible to the Director of Nursing

Clinical Pay:
$26.00 - $29.00 per hour
