Job Description

Graduate Nurse - Healthcare & Medical Services at Mercy Mercy seeks a Graduate Nurse to deliver compassionate, supervised patient care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. Under the guidance of experienced RNs, you'll perform assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and document in the EHR while supporting individualized care plans. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, uphold infection prevention and safety standards, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients under supervision of licensed RN or preceptor Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and documentation in electronic health records Administer medications and treatments per protocols and under appropriate supervision Support care planning, discharge teaching, and patient/family education Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate safe, quality care Follow infection prevention, safety, and Mercy clinical standards at all times Participate in orientation, preceptorship, and ongoing clinical training programs Report changes in patient condition promptly to supervising nurse or provider Required Skills Basic clinical nursing skills Patient assessment Medication administration Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Infection prevention and control IV therapy fundamentals Basic life support (BLS) Wound care basics Telemetry/vital sign monitoring Patient and family education
