We are seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Neonatology for a 15-day assignment in Missouri. This urgent need involves 24-hour shifts, with daytime inpatient unit responsibilities in a NICU and overnight on-call duties. The role focuses on comprehensive neonatology care, supervising Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, and responding to the needs of critically ill infants. Responsibilities and Duties Working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Managing the inpatient unit during daytime hours. Providing overnight on-call coverage, returning for the sickest babies or NNP transports. Supervising a team of 3 full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. Attending deliveries for infants less than 29 weeks gestation and twins. Consulting in the regular nursery and occasionally in Pediatrics for cases such as jaundice. Providing prenatal consultations in Obstetrics. Managing patients requiring High Frequency Oscillation Ventilator (HFOV) and therapeutic hypothermia (whole body cooling). Accepting admissions from Pediatrics for infants as young as one week old.
