FUNCTION
Personal Nurse in School Environment. The nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive, skilled nursing care to a student with complex medical needs. This includes students who require interventions such as tube feedings, medication administration, respiratory support, mobility assistance, and ongoing health monitoring. The nurse is responsible for assessing the health needs of student; developing emergency care plans and individual health plans; complying with the laws relating to student health, including parental and guardian consent; providing appropriate care of ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; providing health information and serving as a resources to parents, teachers, staff, and administrators; and identifying health problems for referral for proper treatment.The nurse supports the students safe participation in the educational environment by addressing medical, developmental, and functional health needs while promoting maximum independence and well-being
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid RN/BSN License Required. Trach Care Experience Required Physical strength sufficient to perform full range of required pupil care activities. Physical abilities sufficient to move from place to place and to maneuver as required performing nursing activities. Ability to write reports and correspondence consistent with the duties of this position. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Board members, administrators, staff and the general public.Pay:
