$10,000 sign-on bonus! Rates are negotiable! Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across diverse healthcare settings. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic. Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. Manage complex care procedures including IV infusions, catheterizations, wound suturing, ventilator management, and dialysis treatments. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, discharge planning, and long-term care strategies tailored to individual needs. Provide specialized care in areas such as critical care (ICU), emergency medicine, hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, or pediatrics based on experience. Conduct patient education on health coaching, medication administration, pain management, and disease prevention strategies. Maintain meticulous medical documentation of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare standards such as NCQA or HIPAA. Respond promptly to urgent situations including trauma incidents at Level I or Level II trauma centers or during critical & intensive care scenarios. Qualifications Valid RN license with current registration in the applicable state or region. Proven experience working in hospital settings such as ICU, emergency room, trauma centers, or specialized units like PICU or neonatal resuscitation procedures. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Cerner and Athenahealth for documentation and patient record management. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and laboratory procedures. Experience with advanced clinical skills such as airway management, tube feeding, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and sterile processing techniques. Critical care experience preferred; familiarity with infectious disease care and occupational health is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to assess complex patient needs accurately and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams. Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or specialized training in trauma medicine are highly desirable.
