Job Description
Advantis Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced ER Travel Nurse for a day-shift assignment in Springfield, MO. In this contract role, you'll deliver high-quality emergency care, from triage and stabilization to ongoing monitoring and discharge education. Responsibilities include rapid assessment, IV therapy, medication administration, cardiac and rhythm monitoring, wound care, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. You'll document in the EMR, follow ED protocols, and support patient flow. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for diverse patient populations on day shifts Perform rapid triage, assessment, and stabilization of acute and critical patients Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to provider orders and protocols Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient response to interventions Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMRCollaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to coordinate care Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Adhere to hospital, ED, and infection-control policies and safety standards Support efficient patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges Maintain required certifications and participate in orientation and unit-specific training Required Skills Emergency nursing Triage and rapid assessment IV insertion and medication administration Cardiac and telemetry monitoring Wound care and splinting Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Ventilator and airway management support Critical thinking and clinical decision-making Patient and family education Interdisciplinary care coordination
